The text-to-speech system supports 14 languages including, English, Spanish, Chinese, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, and Russian.

We're always interested in what you're thinking. So have fun and type away!

Creating Your own Voice Surveys

Have you ever wanted to get opinions from your friends on a certain topic or just want to get to know your online acquaintances better?
A number of our Voice Spice users have started creating "Voice Tag" games where someone creates a set of questions and then passes it to a group of people to answer using just their own recorded voice. This is an exciting trend that is happening on Facebook, Twitter, and E-mail. Like a game of phone tag, the answers just keep on getting more and more interesting as the questions are shared with more people.

We've created a special page just for creating your on voice surveys and starting your own game of voice tag. Check out this link to https://voicespice.com/VoiceTag/.  Give it whirl and let us know what you think!

Adding Spice to Travel

I just recently got back from a trip to UK and France. It was about five weeks of exploring the streets of Paris, neighborhoods of Lyon, and some interesting and historical sites in England and Scotland. It was a lot of fun, So much good food, interesting people, and wonderful places to visit.

I decided to give Voice Spice a go on some of places where my data connection was less than ideal. I did this not only because of the fascinating scenery in some of these more remote locations, but to test to see how the application handles dodgy connections. Overall, it did quite well even on low-bandwidth connections. On one occasion I made a recording on a train from Lyon to the airport using the on-board wifi.

Later on while travelling through Inverness, Scotland, I made a recorded a clip on a boat while searching for "Nessy" the Lochness Monster.  We didn't find her, but I did have a good time exploring Urquhart Castle on the other side of the lake.

Further north, I took a detour through northern Scotland up to the Orkney Islands. Recording in these remote areas was not a problem.  One highlight of the Orkney's was visiting one of the oldest and well-preserved villages in the world Skara Brae. Not too bad for 5,000 year-old real state.

Back home now, I can say that Voice Spice was a very convenient and reliable way of creating a voice message even in the most remote areas of the world.

What do I use Voice Spice for?

What is the most popular use of Voice Spice is often what we are asked.  Well that is a hard question to answer because our users are so diverse and their needs are so varied.  And on top of that, we don’t harvest user accounts or collect their friends and likes.  What we do know is what is made public and what people tell us. They tell us they love how easy Voice Spice is to use and how it works for everybody, even friends without Voice Spice.  There is no one use for all people.

That’s what’s cool about Voice Spice.  You can do whatever you want.

For me, I have been using it to text a scary voice recording to remind my son to take out the trash.   Others have more serious uses such as assigning their students to record their favorite poetry or do movie reviews.  Foreign language and ESL teachers are using it regularly to listen to student’s homework.  We even have a number of musicians and singers that are working out new raps and songs to share with their friends.

So what is Voice Spice used for?  Well, anything you want!  Just record from your desktop, iPhone, Android or Windows Phone, click a button and Twitter, text or email your audio message and if you feel like it, let us know how you use Voice Spice.

Voice Spice Goes to Brazil World Cup 2014

During my travels, I have had a lot of down time in between flights and activities. As with any kind of international traveling, you are submerged in a pool of nationalities from all over the world and constantly trying to pick up on what language to use when trying to communicate to each other. As I begin butchering Portuguese while in Brazil during the World Cup 2014, I have found it to be very useful and enjoyable to play around with the Voice Spice voice recorder. I was even able to get a few new friends record some sayings and other things so I can refer back to it.

It is always interesting to read and overhear an auto translator but it is always the best to really try to pick up on actual dialect and slang within the culture.

I also found that these other 5 apps have been a huge help as well.

Either way, the travels and experience have been a life changer and it has been an even better experience using the technology toy advantage.

Your Voice Spice fan,
Chenzo

A moment to highlight a great person and portal.

With the growing attention we are receiving in the Educational field, especially when practicing another language with children, we here at Voice Spice are spending the time to get to know great people and portals that share and believe in similar missions in helping our future grow.

With new tools and innovative learning processes, past educational boundaries are being passed.

There is a small but strong force of people and institutions that are spending a tremendous amount of time, whether in the field and or behind the scenes, creating new and fun ways for our children to think outside the box.

It is that force we like to recognize and share.

Today, we would like to share with you a website:  THE LEARNING JOURNEY A Blog by Bon Education

 photo ScreenShot2014-06-05at95401PM_zpsfec9c745.png

It is a site packed with 100's of amazing articles and resources regarding Education. Primarily, the three wonderful people that make up this blog, Anna Batchelder (Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer), Christopher Batchelder (Co-Founder and President), and Michelle Hollett (Education Research and Journalism Fellow) focus on not just education but international education. Taking the time and looking into resourceful ideas/concepts to help the Globe out, one child at a time.

With that being said, it was the article that, Michelle Hollett wrote: The Art of Language Learning we found to be super informative. As she writes about Elemental English Founder Larissa Majlessi - we see even more how our mobile voice recorder tool at Morphbox becomes more of a vital no cost tool to help educational settings in making learning fun.

As our world becomes more diverse and communication across the globe easier and easier, it is important that we spend the time necessary giving our children and teachers the tools to make their job more of an impact.

Hope you enjoy their site and resources as much as we have.
